Les Liaisons Dangereuses

by Christopher Hampton

based on the novel by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos

directed by Marianne Elliott

BAFTA Award-winner Lesley Manville (Phantom Thread) joins Aidan Turner (Rivals) in a striking new staging of Christopher Hampton’s celebrated adaptation of the classic novel, where among the glittering salons of the super-rich, one misstep can mean ruin. Marquise de Merteuil is a master in the art of survival. Alongside the magnetic Vicomte de Valmont, they turn seduction into strategy and weaponise desire. But when their alliance collapses into rivalry, the battle between them threatens to destroy everyone in their path.

Filmed live on stage at the National Theatre, Marianne Elliott (Angels in America) directs this thrilling game of love, lies, and social warfare.

Our Land (12A)

OUR LAND

In England, a growing movement is pushing back against the fences that divide people from nature. Through bold mass trespasses, Right to Roam activists demand greater access to the countryside — but in doing so, they collide head-on with landowners who insist they are the true guardians of the land.

OUR LAND explores this clash with nuance and clarity. Weaving together past and present, it lays out the deep-rooted tensions between public access, private ownership and environmental stewardship. Voices from both sides are given space to speak: campaigners fighting for freedom to roam, and landowners defending their vision of protection and responsibility. As the struggle over who gets to enjoy — and care for — the natural world grows ever more urgent, the film poses a fundamental question: who does the land really belong to?
