June’s super summer funny funsters are Chris Brooker, Nathan Eagle and headlined by Stephen Carlin!
Chris Brooker
A gifted performer, Chris Brooker has taken his unique mix of comedy and improvisation to stages all over the world. After a decade on the UK comedy circuit Chris has forged a fine reputation for himself as a stand-up comedian and compère. His versatility has seen him play to audiences of all sizes and backgrounds, winning them over with his infectious enthusiasm, swift wit and immense likeability. Dubbed comedy’s ginger Viking by a promoter, he really is a larger-than-life character.
One of comedy’s heavy hitters, Chris Brooker’s infectious energy and enthusiasm sweeps through a room like an irresistible force. Chris’ combination of hilarious, original material and inspired improvisation means that you will never see the same routine twice. Immensely likeable, there’s no doubting his ability to win over any crowd and drag them along for the ride.

From his sartorial elegance to his in-depth and hilarious knowledge of international snooker, Carlin’s performance takes the audience into the mind of a passionate obsessive. A mainstay of the London art scene since his starry breakout in the creative explosion of the 1960’s, Julian Sklar (Ian McKellen) has drifted into a cluttered, self-imposed seclusion. His two estranged children (James Corden, Jessica Gunning) enlist Lori (Michaela Coel), a young painter and sometime-forger, to pose as a prospective assistant and gain access to a fabled series of unfinished canvases Julian has buried deep in his home studio, in a deceptive bid to secure an inheritance for themselves.

Young Dart Voices is a brand-new youth choir for ages 11-19, which launched in January 2026 at The Flavel Arts Centre in Dartmouth. Led by Jeremy Kenyon, the new Director of Music for the Benefice of Dartmouth and Elle Miles, the choir offers an uplifting and inclusive space for young people to sing music from a variety of genres, build confidence, and make new friends through music.

The project is part of The Flavel’s ongoing commitment to supporting arts and culture in Dartmouth, and we hope Young Dart Voices will become a vibrant part of local life.
