There Are 3.7 trillion Fish in the Ocean. They are looking for One.

In the colourful and warm tropical waters of the Great Barrier Reef, a Clown Fish named Marlin lives safe and secluded in his anemone home with his only son, Nemo. Fearful of the ocean and its unpredictable risks, he struggles to protect his son. Nemo, like all young fish, is eager to explore the mysterious reef. When Nemo is unexpectedly taken far from home and thrust into a tacky dentist’s office fish tank, Marlin finds himself the unlikely hero on an epic journey to rescue his son.

Ocean (PG)

Part of The Flavel Regatta Family Film Festival

“If we save the sea, we save our world.” Sir David Attenborough

The stunning documentary, Ocean with David Attenborough, shines a light on both the beauty of the sea and the ways in which humans are depleting its riches. The film helps viewers reflect deeply on the ocean’s significance, the threats it faces, and the solutions that can ensure its protection. While our planet’s future can sometimes feel bleak, efforts to conserve it offer glimmers of hope.

There will be a post-show Q and A

Swallows and Amazons. (U)

Part of The Flavel Regatta Family Film Festival

SWALLOWS & AMAZONS was the first novel in Arthur Ransome’s much-loved series following the adventures of four children and their sailing boat Swallow.

In this film of the first instalment, Roger, Titty, Susan and John are taken on holiday by their mother to the Norfolk Broads, where they are allowed to sail their boat to a nearby island and set up camp. However, they soon discover another boat: the Amazon, manned by potential rivals for dominion of the island. Evoking an England and way of life long forgotten, SWALLOWS & AMAZONS turns an enduring model of idyllic and innocent childhood into a lyrical and beautifully realized film.

The Odyssey. (15)

After his Oscar®-winning portrait of Robert Oppenheimer, Christopher Nolan moves from the atomic to the mythic with his adaptation of arguably the most famous ancient text. Homer’s heroic tale details the arduous, danger- filled journey of Odysseus, King of Ithaca, from the Trojan War back to his homeland, where his wife long-suffering wife Penelope awaits his return while fighting off a hoard of conniving suitors.

Along the way, the monarch and his dwindling army are faced with many of the Gods’ worst creations and temptations. Matt Damon leads an all-star cast in the must-see film of 2026.

"Nolan and his collaborators have constructed a strange, fearsome and trailblazing machine of a movie – by some distance, the best of the year so far."
