Young Dart Voices
We are starting a new term of Young Dart Voices. Led by Jeremy Kenyon, the new Director of Music for the Benefice of Dartmouth and Elle Miles, the choir offers an uplifting and inclusive space for young people to sing music from a variety of genres, build confidence, and make new friends through music. The choir has been re-located to Dartmouth Academy and is taking place from 3.30pm – 5pm in The Cube, which is the arts building next to the main entrance of Dartmouth Academy. If you face the main entrance of the Academy, The Cube doors are on your right.
WHEN: Mondays 3.30pm – 5pm from September 28th –
WHERE: Dartmouth Academy – The Cube, Milton Lane, TQ6 9HW
Visitors can access the cube from the side doors which will be open.
WHO: 8 - 16 yr olds - open to anyone. (You do not need to be a pupil at the Academy to join in).
HOW MUCH: Free to join – no previous singing experience required
Repertoire this term includes Queen’s ‘We will rock you’ and Leonard Cohen’s ‘Halleluia’.
Also for Christmas we will work on songs including ‘Santa’s coming for us’ - Sia and ‘Rockin’ around the Christmas Tree’.
Performance dates this term
Friday 30th October 7pm - St. Clement’s Church - Charity concert
Friday 18th December 7.30pm - Flavel Arts Centre - Christmas concert
