Comedy@The Flavel : June 2026 (18)

Comedy @ the Flavel

June’s super summer funny funsters are Chris Brooker, Nathan Eagle and headlined by Stephen Carlin!

Chris Brooker

A gifted performer, Chris Brooker has taken his unique mix of comedy and improvisation to stages all over the world. After a decade on the UK comedy circuit Chris has forged a fine reputation for himself as a stand-up comedian and compère. His versatility has seen him play to audiences of all sizes and backgrounds, winning them over with his infectious enthusiasm, swift wit and immense likeability. Dubbed comedy’s ginger Viking by a promoter, he really is a larger-than-life character.

One of comedy’s heavy hitters, Chris Brooker’s infectious energy and enthusiasm sweeps through a room like an irresistible force. Chris’ combination of hilarious, original material and inspired improvisation means that you will never see the same routine twice. Immensely likeable, there’s no doubting his ability to win over any crowd and drag them along for the ride.

‘Very funny, very quick… On the spot humour.’ BBC

‘The best act of the night, his quick wit silencing hecklers and getting plenty of laughs.’ Manchester Evening News

Stephen Carlin is a hilarious Scottish comedian who has received great critical acclaim, accolades and a growing fanbase with his original and insightful writing style and accomplished delivery. He is a very enigmatic act, using a unique pattern of delivery to amuse the audience with very unexpected and off the wall references. From his sartorial elegance to his in-depth and hilarious knowledge of international snooker, Carlin’s performance takes the audience into the mind of a passionate obsessive. This man is well on his way to becoming Scotland’s newest addition to its history of brilliant comedians. All skilfully delivered in his deadpan Scottish brogue.

Madfabulous (12A)

When the flamboyant Henry Paget arrives in 1890s North Wales to claim his aristocratic inheritance, his theatrical flair and defiant eccentricities send shockwaves through the upper-

class elite, much to the amusement of the local townspeople.

Alongside his spirited cousin Lily and loyal butler Gelert, Henry tries to carve out his own identity as the Fifth Marquess, navigating suffocating traditions, scheming relatives, and the long shadow cast by his estranged father.

Inspired by a true story, this riotous, uncompromising celebration of otherness, is led fearlessly by rising star and BAFTA nominee Callum Scott Howells (It’s a Sin, The Beautiful Game), joined by a stellar supporting cast of three-time BAFTA nominee Rupert Everett (The Happy Prince, An Ideal Husband), Ruby Stokes (Jay Kelly, Bridgerton), BAFTA winner Siobhán McSweeney (Derry Girls, Alice Through the Looking Glass), Louis Hynes (A Series of Unfortunate Events, The Great),

Louise Brealey (Sherlock, Brian and Charles), Tom Rhys Harries (White Lines, The Gentlemen)

and Paul Rhys (Wuthering Heights, Saltburn).
