Comedy @ The Flavel

While our regular Dartmouth Comedy Club takes a break, we’ve invited some outstanding comedians touring the circuit today to join us to bring the February funnies.

SUZY BENNETT

Former Butlins Redcoat and proud Devonian Suzy Bennett ‘accidentally’ won the prestigious Funny Women Award on her 6th gig and has kept the laughs, and her Janner accent, going strong ever since, performing around the UK as well as overseas hosting large events as well as tour support for big name acts.

'Suzy is Delightful company' - Metro

'The physical presence and panache of a young Dawn French’ - Chortle

‘Suzy is a Charm Bomb’ - Russell Kane

CHRIS BROOKER

A gifted performer, Chris Brooker has taken his unique mix of comedy and improvisation to stages all over the world. After a decade on the UK comedy circuit Chris has forged a fine reputation for himself as a stand-up comedian and compère. His versatility has seen him play to audiences of all sizes and backgrounds, winning them over with his infectious enthusiasm, swift wit and immense likeability. Dubbed comedy’s ginger Viking by a promoter, he really is a larger-than-life character. One of comedy’s heavy hitters, Chris Brooker’s infectious energy and enthusiasm sweeps through a room like an irresistible force.

‘Very funny, very quick… On the spot humour.’ BBC

‘The best act of the night, his quick wit silencing hecklers and getting plenty of laughs.’ Manchester Evening News

DAVID ARNOLD

David Arnold has been a firm favourite of audience goers in the Westcountry and beyond, with a smiley, excitable delivery style that has everyone in stitches. In his ten years on the circuit, he has shared the stage with some of the biggest names, performed at world-renowned festivals and even starred in a summer season in Torquay! 2020 was a breakout year - he appeared in a Channel 5 documentary, reached the final of the prestigious Beat the Frog in Manchester, performed at the London Palladium and was crowned winner of the British Comedian of the Year for the Southwest Region.
