Dartmouth in the Jazz Age

A musical and visual immersion in the stories of 1920s Dartmouth

Step back in time and immerse yourself in the electrifying world of 1920s Dartmouth in a night of glitz, glamour and history.

Let the irresistible tunes of the Roaring Twenties come alive as Louise Parker and the new Dart Jazz Band recreate the sounds that defined an era.

Explore stunning photographs of Dartmouth’s transformation from a gritty coal port to a bustling tourism hotspot, as you journey through its fascinating past.

Watch in awe as the JT Jazzettes bring the Charleston, Shim Sham, and Big Apple to life - dances that once lit up the grand houses and dance floors around Torbay!

Your charismatic MC, John Suchet, will guide you through the evening's vibrant entertainment, while Dartmouth Museum's Jonathan Turner unveils the untold stories of the original Dart Jazz Band, who lived, worked, and played in Dartmouth.

Dress however you like—but if you feel like channelling your inner flapper or dapper gent, throw on that Cloche Hat or bow tie for a chance to win an exclusive prize!
