Celebrate the 10th anniversary of Matthew Warchus' star-studded story of solidarity and the historic 40th anniversary of United Kingdom miners' strike with this re-released screening of 'Pride'.
In 1984, a group of LGBT activists decide to raise money to support the National Union of Mineworkers during their lengthy strike. There is only one problem: the Union seems embarrassed to receive their support.
The activists are undeterred and decide to ignore the Union and go direct to the miners. They identify a mining village in deepest Wales and set off in a mini bus to make their donation in person. And so begins the extraordinary story of two seemingly alien communities who form a surprising and ultimately triumphant partnership.
