TalkFilm at The Flavel

TalkFilm at The Flavel

(like a book club but for film lovers!)

Our next meeting is on Tuesday 14 May at 6.30pm in The Flavel Café

FILM: Back to Black (15)

The extraordinary story of Amy Winehouse’s early rise to fame from her early days in Camden through the making of her groundbreaking album, Back to Black that catapulted Winehouse to global fame. Told through Amy’s eyes and inspired by her deeply personal lyrics, the film explores and embraces the many layers of the iconic artist and the tumultuous love story at the centre of one of the most legendary albums of all time.

TalkFilm at The Flavel is for all those people who love film and want to explore their experience, enjoyment (or not!) and views with others.

Like a book or reading group for film where group members take a lead in planning and facilitating the session. We meet before the film in The Flavel Cafe for an introduction (like Ali Plum or Mark Kermode) and after the film meet to discuss the film together.

The Flavel will choose the films from current films and scheduled a film club meet when we wrap a TalkFilm event around the film.

Film goers will buy their film ticket as normal and there will be no extra charge for the club event with exclusive use of the café bar for the discussion, drinks and snacks.
