A Quiet Place: Day One shows us the moment when the Earth fell silent in this spin-off prequel to the postapocalyptic story.

Chika will travel all the way from Japan to give this workshop and share her painting skills with you. She will also be showing her work in the “Spirit of Japan” exhibition at the Flavel (August 26th to September 7th).
About the artist:
Chika is a Japan-based artist who specializes in acrylic painting. She has won many awards for her eye-catching art, which is praised for its expressiveness and three-dimensionality. The inspiration for much of her work comes from the relationship between mother and child and the challenges and joys of parenthood. In Japan, she holds regular painting workshops for children and adults and also runs an online art school.

Chika will teach you techniques that will make your paintings look like they’re jumping right off the canvas! The workshop is suitable for artists of all ages, and it will help you take your art to a new level.

You will be able to take your finished painting home with you at the end of the workshop.

A young boy Michael is taken by his family on a round-the-world sailing trip. But when a storm strikes, Michael and his dog Stella are swept overboard and washed up on a remote island.
