Cara Dillon, one of the most outstanding performers on the UK folk scene, continues the Folk at the Flavel series. Born in County Derry, Cara has risen to be one of the finest exponents of Irish song as well as, with husband and musical partner Sam Lakeman, steering an eclectic musical path combining the traditional with the contemporary. She has had a number of successful albums and tours extensively either with Sam or a full band appearing in concert halls and at festivals the world over. Cara has won countless awards and accolades including “Album of the Year” at the BBC Radio 2 folk awards, the Meteor Music award for “Best Irish Female”, and Tatler’s “Woman of the Year in Music”.Cara has also been featured in many remarkable projects including singing the title track for the film "Tinkerbell and the Great Fairy Rescue" and has also sung on projects such as Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells 3. This will be Cara’s third appearance at the Flavel following two sold out shows ion 2015 and 2017.
