Weekly term time

The class runs during term time.

Hatha Yoga suitable for beginners as well as experienced yoga practitioners.  

Hatha Yoga is a gentle introduction to yoga and can be modified to suit most people.

I have been practicing yoga for 30 years and teaching for 16. I did my diploma with the British Wheel of Yoga, the governing body for yoga in the UK.   My practice has changed as I have got older and I now believe 'less is more'.

During the 90 minute practice I include mindfulness, breath awareness and 'asana', the yoga postures and we always end with relaxation that includes visualisation and sense awareness.  I encourage self awareness and modify postures to suit all abilities.

There is no competitive element.  Practicing yoga has allowed me to maintain flexibility and strength of body & mind.  It is a discipline that can easily be part of everyday life and is a helpful tool in combating stress and developing compassion.
