The Arts Society - Dartmouth & Kingswear (previously known as NADFAS)

has been meeting in The Flavel for over ten years.  The afternoon lectures cover historical and arts-related topics such as architecture, music, literature, fine art, jewellery, sculpture, gardens and other related subjects.

The Stone of Heaven - Jade, 1500BC - 1800AD: Peter Le Rossignol

Exploring the history of jade from the Neolithic tomb to the magnificent carved items of 18C Emperors and its importance as the Stone of Heaven to the culture of China.

Do come along and join us at The Flavel on the second Monday of the month,

at 2.15 for 2.30pm, followed by complimentary tea and biscuits.  

The annual subscription is £43, (less than £5.00 per lecture, cheaper than going to the cinema!).  You may come as a visitor to try us out for £8 and if you then decide to join this is deducted from your subscription.
