Here are the wonderful performers that we will be hosting at The Flavel during this year's Dart Music Festival! For timings, please purchase a festival programme.


Fri 10 May

Jade Gall (tenor sax) & Elizabeth Jane Baldry (harp)
Jade Gall is a highly celebrated UK-based saxophonist and flautist, hailed as having a ‘big, strong tenor sound with a beautiful sense of melody and swing…a musician to look out for in the future’ by top UK trumpeter Steve Waterman.
Elizabeth-Jane Baldry studied at Exeter University and the Royal College of Music and is the only silent movie harpist in the world, with compositions picked up by many TV and film companies.

Jazz Night with Martin Dale and Julian Mark Springle
Martin Dale is an acclaimed saxophonist who has worked with such acts as Petula Clarke, Neil Sedaka, Tom Jones and even X Factor winner Alexandra Burke.
Martin’s special guest this year is one of the finest clarinettist around, Julian Mark Stringle

Jess Heywood Pupils
This concert is performed by local young musicians, all taught by Jessica and a ‘must see’ if you love to support young talented people, the professionals of tomorrow. She is a well-known figure in and around Dartmouth and is involved in all aspects of music. Her enthusiasm for cello playing, singing and teaching has touched many from the very young to adults.

Dartmouth Orchestra with MD Tim Pithers, with soloist Gabriel Yeap (piano)
Our brilliant local orchestra, once again conducted by music director Tim Pithers who is also director of Exeter University Orchestra and the EX4 Chamber Orchestra. This year the orchestra will be accompanied by acclaimed pianist, Gabriel Yeap.

Devon Youth Jazz Orchestra
Devon Youth Jazz Orchestra teaches young people from across the whole of Devon including Exeter, North & South Devon, Torbay and Dartmoor to play and perform a wide variety of Jazz.
DYJO has won many national awards over its history for its performances and educational programme.
